ASUS is aiming to release a $200 Eee by 2009, according to Digitimes. jerry Shen, Asustek presidemt, detailed that the company has adjusted its mid-range and entry-level Eee PC’s pricing and market position, and expects to launch an Eee PC priced at US$200 in 2009.
He is also optimistic that lowering manufacturing costs will bring down the price of future Eees. Shen also pointed out that 7- and 8.9-inch Eee PCs will be slowly phased out of the market to be replaced by 10-inch products.
If we get a $200 10-inch Eee, it will be absolutely wonderful.
